What do we have on offer?
You will be the depots lead competent person for safety, quality & environmental management, reviewing and implementing quality, environment and safety compliance on depot, depot audits and assist with risk assessments to demonstrate compliance with 18001, 14001 & 9001 standards.
You will do this by working proactively with managers, staff and contractors to establish and maintain a culture of safe working practices across the business, through consultation and cooperation with Health and Safety Reps and Champions
What will you do?
We would love you to bring your experience to help us review safety standards and documentation across a number of departments, especially engineering.
You’ll work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the business to conduct internal audits & risk assessments, in support of Depot assurance requirements maintaining effective audit plans, recording and management of corrective actions and observations; ultimately contributing to a high performing safety culture.
We need someone to really take ownership of the ISO certification on the depot and support engineering input to company ISO certification as well as working with training manager to ensure all training & assessments are aligned with company and external standards to ensure compliance.
Of course, as with any specialist safety job there are a few ‘must haves’ we would like you to have...
We need you to have the NEBOSH General certificate or be working towards your NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum & be Tech IOSH. We are really focussed on development, so if you had an ambition to study further we can of course support that.
If you have experience auditing against 9001, 14001 & 18001 that would be great, along with knowledge and experience of using Quality, Safety and Environmental management systems.
We would also love for you to demonstrate your experience in carrying out complex risk assessments in a challenging environment.
